A Billiard light over top of a pool table is the final touch for decorating a room plus providing adequate light to play. At Family Recreation Centre we have a large selection of lights to match the most popular colours of cloth and woods.
What height should the light be over a table?
Minimum height should be 36" from the bed of the table to the bottom of the light. The optimal height is between 36" and 40", to avoid shadows forming on the table. If you are hanging the light up before the table has been set-up it should be 66" to 70" from the floor to the bottom of the light.
When should I put the light up?
Ideally the light should be hung prior to your table installation. Often times, however, this is not possible. If it isn't, please remember that you should never put body weight on your table for any reason. The hanging of the light after the table installation can be much more difficult
